ROGERS, ARKANSAS – Mika Miyazato headed into the final round of the Arkansas Championship tied for second, four strokes off the pace of Venezuela’s Veronica Felibert after firing a 6-under-par 65 on Saturday.
Miyazato, who has two top-10 finishes in the U.S. this season, fired six birdies without a bogey to gain a stroke on Felibert and pull into a tie with South Korea’s Park In Bee on 7-under-par 135.
“To be able to finish the round and improve my score without shooting a single bogey, I’m extremely happy about that,” said Miyazato, who resolved a major issue left over from her first round.
“Yesterday, my caddy and I were often not on the same page. Because of that, we talked about our game plan, going over each and every stroke on the course. That was the difference today.”
