Miyazato tied for second in Arkansas

Kyodo

Mika Miyazato headed into the final round of the Arkansas Championship tied for second, four strokes off the pace of Venezuela’s Veronica Felibert after firing a 6-under-par 65 on Saturday.

Miyazato, who has two top-10 finishes in the U.S. this season, fired six birdies without a bogey to gain a stroke on Felibert and pull into a tie with South Korea’s Park In Bee on 7-under-par 135.

“To be able to finish the round and improve my score without shooting a single bogey, I’m extremely happy about that,” said Miyazato, who resolved a major issue left over from her first round.

“Yesterday, my caddy and I were often not on the same page. Because of that, we talked about our game plan, going over each and every stroke on the course. That was the difference today.”
