FUKUOKA – Wily Mo Pena, Kenta Nakanishi and Nobuhiro Matsuda each homered as the Softbank Hawks romped to 7-3 victory over the Rakuten Eagles on Sunday.
Pena hit a two-run drive that overturned a 1-0 deficit in the first inning, and Nakanishi went deep with a solo blast in the second. Matsuda added a leadoff shot — the third home run of the day off Takahiro Shiomi (3-3) — in the fourth at Yahoo Dome.
Matsuda, who also tripled and singled in the first and sixth respectively, came within a double of the cycle.
Sho Iwasaki (3-3) yielded three runs and eight hits over 6-2/3 innings. He struck out seven and walked one.

At Sapporo Dome, Atsunori Inaba singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as Nippon Ham edged Orix to regain the Pacific League lead.
Mitsuo Yoshikawa (3-2) allowed two runs in seven innings for the win. Orix cleanup hitter Lee Dae Ho hit a two-run homer to tie the game 2-2 in the sixth.
Lions 4, Marines 4, tie, 9 innings
At Seibu Dome, Yasuyuki Kataoka hit a game-tying two-run single in the fourth inning as Seibu managed a nine-inning tie with Lotte.
Ikuhiro Kiyota hit a three-run homer for Lotte in the second. Seibu’s new closer Hideaki Wakui threw a perfect ninth.
BayStars 4, Dragons 2
At Yokohama Stadium, Yoshitomo Tsutsugo put DeNA in the driver’s seat with a three-run homer in the first inning and added a solo drive in his next at-bat in the third, lifting his team to a win over Chunichi.
Yuki Kuniyoshi (1-3) limited the damage to a two-run homer by Tony Blanco over 5-1/3 innings, helping DeNA extend its unbeaten streak to four games. Veteran Masahiro Yamamoto (2-1) took the loss.

At Koshien Stadium, Hirokazu Sawamura (2-3) threw 7-2/3 shutout innings, leading Yomiuri over Hanshin for its seventh win in 10 games.
Yomiuri took a 2-0 lead in the second on a wild pitch by Randy Messenger (2-2) and an RBI single from backup catcher Kazunari Sanematsu. Kentaro Nishimura picked up his seventh save.
