LONDON – Kimiko Date-Krumm and Rika Fujiwara beat Sofia Arvidsson and Kaia Kanepi in the doubles final at the e-Boks Open in Copenhagen on Sunday.
It was Date-Krumm’s first doubles title since the Japan Women’s Open in October and the third of her career. Fujiwara won a doubles event for the first time.
The Japanese pair took the first set 6-2 before the Swedish-Estonian duo forced a tiebreak by winning the second set 6-4. Date-Krumm and Fujiwara won the first-to-10 tiebreak 10-5 for the victory.
