PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. (Kyodo) Ryo Ishikawa’s fate was sealed as the teenager missed the cut by four strokes after completing his second round at the Northern Trust Open on Saturday.
Ishikawa carded a 2-over 73 after playing his remaining two holes from the second round cut short by fading light on Friday, leaving Yuta Ikeda as the sole Japanese survivor at the par-71 Riviera Country Club.
Ikeda also had a 73 after completing the second round before a 74 that featured two birdies and five bogeys put him in a tie for 71st at 5-over 218. Ryuji Imada withdrew from the tournament without playing the last hole of his second round.
Australian Aaron Baddeley put together a 67 and held a one-stroke lead going into the final round.
