CHIBA – Jeon Mi Jeong shot a 4-under 68 on Saturday to take a two-stroke lead into the final round of the Nichirei Ladies.
The 27-year-old South Korean had five birdies against a lone bogey to move to 10-under 134 at Sodegaura Country Club.
Jeon won the Yonex Ladies three weeks ago and is looking to become the first player on the Japan LPGA Tour to pick up a second win this season.
Hiromi Takesue was alone in second after a 69.
South Korea’s Young Kim and Ye Liying of China sat three shots behind Jeon after rounds of 67 and 70, respectively.
Defending champion Sakura Yokomine (69) was two more strokes back.
Kaori Aoyama (74), who shared the first-round lead with Jeon, dropped into a tie for ninth at 4 under.
