IRUMA, Saitama Pref. (Kyodo) Kim Kyung Tae stayed on course for his first career JGTO title on Saturday, shooting a 4-under 68 to take a six-stroke lead into the final round of the Diamond Cup.
The 23-year-old South Korean had five birdies and one bogey to get to 15-under 201 at Sayama Golf Club in Saitama Prefecture.
Kim, who has finished second five times on the tour, reeled off four birdies in a row from the 14th hole.
Shingo Katayama sat alone in second after a 67.
Former U.S. PGA player Daisuke Maruyama had the day’s low round with a bogey-free 65, climbing into a share of third at 8 under with Kim Hyung Sung (68) and Komei Oda (69). Ryo Ishikawa turned in a 67 to share 16th at 4 under.
