Kei Nishikori has earned direct entry into the main draw of the French Open getting under way Sunday, according to his management.
Nishikori, ranked 244th in the latest ATP rankings, made his comeback from an elbow injury in February and used a protected ranking of No. 106 to gain entry into the main draw.
The 20-year-old recently won two events in as many weeks on the second-tier ATP Challenger Tour.
Nishikori’s management said he is excited to return to the Grand Slam stage.
