Ueda moves two shots clear of pack

KIKUYO, Kumamoto Pref. (Kyodo) Overnight leader Momoko Ueda carded a 3-under 69 to pull two shots clear heading into the final round of the Nishijin Ladies Classic on Saturday.

Ueda picked up three shots on the front nine at Kumamoto Kuko Country Club and the U.S. LPGA Tour regular made a bogey-birdie start on her inward journey before matching par the rest of the way to reach 8-under 136.

Ueda, who won this tournament in 2007 when it was known as the Life Card Ladies, stands two strokes ahead of JLPGA heavyweight Yuri Fudo and Shin Ji Yai of South Korea.
