Shimoyanagi OKs two-year deal

OSAKA (Kyodo) Free agent left-hander Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi agreed Tuesday to re-sign with the Hanshin Tigers.

The 39-year-old will officially sign a contract expected to be worth ¥400 million for two years at the end of this month, baseball sources said.

Shimoyanagi posted double-digit wins for a third straight year in 2007, going 10-8 with a 4.11 ERA in 25 starts.
