Kyodo

Momoko Ueda edged closer to her fifth win of the season and first Japan LPGA money title after a second-round 71 kept her on top of the field at the Daio Paper Elleair Ladies Open on Saturday. Ueda, who started her round with a two-shot advantage after an opening 66, picked up one stroke after a pair of birdies and a bogey as she finished the day with the slightest of margins over Erina Hara and Hiromi Mogi at 7-under 137.
