BALI, Indonesia – Japan’s Ai Sugiyama and Russian partner Anastasia Myskina won the doubles title at the Wismilak International in Bali on Sunday.
The top-seeded duo of Sugiyama and Myskina, who were playing together for the first time, beat the Russian-Spaniard pair of Svetlana Kuznetsova and Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario 6-3, 7-5 in the final of the hard-court event for women at Grand Hyatt Tennis Center.
The 19-year-old Kuznetsova won the singles title in the Sept. 13-19 tournament after having won the U.S. Open in New York earlier this month.
