Robert McKinney should be applauded for stretching the meme "Get off my lawn!" into a complete letter to the editor (July 7, "Dumbing down 'The Road").
"The Road" was a decent novel, but hardly the only inspiration for the new video game "The Last of Us." "Children of Men" and the excellent movie (2006), based on the book, would have been an apter comparison.
