A man who jumped to his death from a condominium in Miyazaki Prefecture on Sunday has been identified as a vice president of low-cost carrier Solaseed Air Inc., police said Wednesday. A woman, likely his wife, was also found dead.

Nobuyuki Suzuki, 60, was identified after the Miyazaki-based airline reported him missing.

Police said they will continue to investigate the cause of death of the woman, who is thought to be Suzuki's wife.

On Sunday, police responded to a call from a resident at around 10:40 a.m. that a man was roaming the corridors in his bare feet. When officers arrived at the scene, the man leaped to his death.

The initial team was unable to identify him, but when police arrived to investigate the phone call from Solaseed Air, the puzzle was solved.

Established in 1997, Solaseed Air operates flight services mainly linking Tokyo and Miyazaki, and other destinations in Kyushu.
