Online securities firm Monex Group Inc. is hiring Nana Otsuki, a former Bank of America Corp. banking analyst, as an executive director and chief analyst.
Otsuki will start on Jan. 1, said Yumi Matsuzaki, a spokeswoman at Tokyo-based Monex.
Otsuki, who worked at the U.S. firm's Merrill Lynch Japan Securities Co. unit, has been teaching part-time at Nagoya University of Commerce and Business. She joined Merrill Lynch in June 2011 and was ranked second among bank analysts in Japan by Nikkei Veritas this year.
