The remote coastal Shima Kanko Hotel Classic will be the main venue for the Ise-Shima summit next May.

Situated on a hillock overlooking Ago Bay on Kashikojima Island on the southern extremity of the Shima Peninsula, the hotel will be the stage for talks between leaders of the world's seven largest economies six months from now.

Offering a stunning view of the saw-toothed coastline teeming with pearl-cultivation rafts, the facility was the first purely Western style hotel of its kind when it opened for business in 1951.
