Arrangements are being made for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to hold talks with French, Turkish and Sri Lankan leaders in Japan over three days in early October, a government source said.

A meeting with French Prime Minister Manuel Valls is envisioned on Oct. 5, one with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on Oct. 6 and another with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Oct. 7, the source said Saturday.

It will be Valls' first visit to Japan since he took office in March last year. Wickremesinghe was sworn in as Sri Lanka's new prime minister in August, while Erdogan last visited Japan in January 2014 as Turkey's prime minister.
