Two men and two minors have been arrested on suspicion of abducting and confining a female teenager from Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, police said Friday.

Investigators found what they believe is the body of Manae Noguchi, 18, buried at a farm in Shibayama near Narita airport after searching the area based on accounts from a suspect or suspects.

She had been missing since Sunday night.

One of the men, 20-year-old Yuki Ide became the subject of a manhunt after he emerged as a person of interest when the suspects were questioned, they said.

Ide, who has no permanent address or occupation, surrendered Friday afternoon at Kamagaya Police Station in Chiba Prefecture, accompanied by a friend.

Police said the four people arrested were in a car on Sunday night when Noguchi was walking nearby with friends.

One of the men invited her to get in, which she did. Their two teen acquaintances, a male and a female, exited the vehicle later, leaving the teen alone with the men.

The two minors told police that one of the men later informed them that he had buried the girl, sources said.

Repeated calls to the Noguchi's cellphone went unanswered.
