A surveillance camera near a home that was found burning on Tuesday — and in which a female resident was found dead with a knife in her forehead — captured images of a person emerging from the building, investigative sources said Wednesday.
The camera was installed at a nearby pachinko parlor in the hot springs resort town of Yugawara in Kanagawa Prefecture. The individual cannot be seen clearly and it is unclear if it is a man or woman, they said.
A pachinko parlor official said the individual emerged from the victim's home and headed for the JR Yugawara station.
