A Thai visa overstayer's son, who was born and raised in Japan and has never left the country, is seeking to rescind an expulsion order from immigration authorities, claiming Japan is his one and only home.
"Japan is my home. I want to lead a normal life and study here," said Utinan Won, 15.
Won filed a lawsuit with the Tokyo District Court to nullify the deportation order. His first court hearing is Thursday.
