The U.S. International Trade Commission said on Thursday it will investigate 13 companies including Sony Corp. and its affiliates over possible patent infringement involving wireless audio devices.

The others include Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG of Germany and companies in Australia, Denmark, Ireland and Singapore, the ITC said.

The products at issue include "consumer wireless headphones and earphones" that receive audio via Bluetooth, the commission said.

The move came after One E-way Inc., a California electronics company, filed a complaint with the commission last month, it said.
