The Kasukabe Police Station in Saitama Prefecture has found that more than 70 cars parked in lots or on the streets have had their hoods and doors scratched in apparent acts of vandalism over the past four days.

The police are looking for witnesses and analyzing security camera footage, suspecting a lone culprit was involved.

According to the police, the cars that were damaged were parked within a 2-km radius of Toyoharu Station on the Tobu Noda Line. The scratches seem to have been made by a metal object. The scratches range from 30 cm to 2 meters long.
