An aide to former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra says she has been released from military custody.

The aide said Yingluck was freed Monday and has returned to her home.

He spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

Yingluck had been summoned by the army and held at an undisclosed location without a telephone since Friday following Thailand’s military coup.
