BMW Japan Corp. said Wednesday it will launch the new four-door 4 Series Gran Coupe on June 21 as part of its plan to introduce more than 10 new models to Japan this year.
The vehicle is BMW's first "premium middle class" coupe with four doors, said the company, which plans to spur demand with a series of new model launches.
BMW Japan President Alan Harris said the company saw record sales in Japan in 2013 and that momentum is continuing to increase this year due to last-minute buying before the sales tax hike in April, as well as robust demand for recently introduced vehicles, including the new Mini model.
