WASHINGTON – Embattled U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm apologized Wednesday after threatening to throw a reporter off a balcony for asking about a campaign finance probe.
The Republican lost his temper during an interview with NY1 News TV immediately after Tuesday’s State of the Union address. The confrontation unfolded in a TV interview spot in the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building in the U.S. Capitol complex.
“Let me be clear to you, you ever do that to me again, I’ll throw you off this f—-ing balcony,” Grimm said in video broadcast by the cable station. “You’re not man enough. I’ll break you in half, like a boy.”
