OSAKA – Universal Studios Japan will raise its admission fees on Jan. 27, according to its operator, USJ Co.
The price of a one-day ticket will be increased by ¥190 to ¥6,790 for those aged 12 or over and by ¥250 to ¥4,750 for children between the ages of 4 and 11.
This will be the sixth price hike since the theme park opened in Osaka in March 2001. Ticket prices were last raised in January this year.
The one-day ticket price will be raised further, to ¥6,980 for adults and to ¥4,880 for children, on April 1, when the consumption tax is increased to 8 percent from 5 percent, the operator said.
