NEW YORK – Honda Motor Co. says it will exhibit a prototype of a fuel-cell electric vehicle it plans to launch in Japan and the United States in 2015 at the L.A. Auto Show later this month.
The automaker released a sketch Monday of the FCEV Concept. The auto show, to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, will be open to the public from Nov. 22 through Dec. 1.
The FCEV Concept “demonstrates the company’s vision for the future of personal mobility and our commitment to developing advanced alternative fuel vehicles,” Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co., said in a statement.
“As we work toward the introduction of our next-generation fuel-cell vehicle in 2015, our long-term experience with fuel-cell technologies will help us pave a way toward a zero-emissions future,” he said.
