Nissan, Daimler mull Mexico production

Nissan Motor Co. and Germany’s Daimler AG could start producing high-end cars at a plant run by the Japanese firm in Mexico, the companies’ two leaders said.

Proposed is a plan to jointly develop and manufacture next-generation, front-wheel-drive Infinitis and Mercedes-Benz models at the Mexican plant, Nissan President Carlos Ghosn and Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche said Wednesday at a news conference in Frankfurt.
