Jetstar delays new services abroad

Low-cost carrier Jetstar Japan has delayed plans to begin international flights until next summer at the earliest, company officials said.

The new services will connect Narita airport and Kansai International Airport with China and South Korea, among other routes, the officials said Thursday.

The budget airline initially aimed to launch international services by the end of this year, but it had to push back the plan after being reprimanded last year by the transport ministry for using inexperienced mechanics.
