Indonesia avoids copy paper duty

JIJI

The government said Wednesday it will not impose antidumping duties on photocopy paper products from Indonesia.

The government dismissed complaints filed by eight Japanese paper manufacturers in May last year that Indonesian photocopy paper products were imported into Japan at prices up to some 16 percent less than fair value, causing the eight material injury.

An investigation by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Finance Ministry found no evidence of such dumping, ministry officials said.
