Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi said Tuesday that he will visit France and the Netherlands for four days from Wednesday.
In Paris on Thursday, Hayashi is scheduled to attend an annual ministerial meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s decision-making Council and an informal ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organization, he said at a press conference.
Hayashi may also hold bilateral meetings with ministers from other countries participating in the international meetings.
Hayashi will move on to the Netherlands on Friday and visit a site where an agricultural project using advanced technologies is being undertaken.
The Netherlands is one of the world’s major exporters of farm products.
