DoCoMo client data in U.S. leaked

Information on 403 NTT DoCoMo Inc. customers in the U.S. was stolen and posted online after the server of its American unit was hacked, possibly by the LulzSec group, company officials confirmed Saturday.

The data included names, credit card numbers, birth dates and email addresses, the officials said, as well as over 1,000 phone numbers.

DoCoMo’s U.S. unit provides mobile phone services to Japanese in the country, the no data leaks yet involving customers who signed up in Japan has been confirmed, they said.

DoCoMo said 1,804 telephone numbers were disclosed by the hack, but without the owners’ names attached.
