NEC Corp. said Tuesday it has reached an agreement with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China to tie up over sales of its point-of-sales terminals.

The agreement was reached amid growing demand for POS terminals in the Chinese market as consumers there increasingly make payments using credit and debit cards.

The major Chinese lender has selected NEC's TWINPOS G series of terminals, which has already been introduced in a department store in Shanghai, as a first step, NEC said.
