Chubu Electric Power Co. said Friday it and Korea Gas Corp. will jointly purchase liquefied natural gas from Italy's ENI S.p.A. from May for around five years to ensure stable supply at lower cost.
The Nagoya-based utility and its South Korean partner will buy a total of 1.7 million tons of LNG.
