Kim chef returning from N. Korea

A Japanese sushi chef for the late Pyongyang leader Kim Jong Il reappeared at Beijing airport Tuesday morning, apparently to take his return trip to Japan after a two-week stay in North Korea.

Kenji Fujimoto, in Beijing since arriving from Pyongyang on Saturday, declined comment at the departure gate at Terminal 3.

Fujimoto stayed in North Korea from July 21 to Saturday at the invitation of new leader Kim Jong Un, who took power after his father, Kim Jong Il, died in December.

Fujimoto said he met Kim and his wife, Ri Sol Ju, whom he described as “pretty and charming,” during the trip.
