NAHA, OKINAWA PREF. – Jetstar Japan Co., a budget airline partially owned by Japan Airlines Co., launched services Monday linking Narita International Airport with Kansai International Airport in Osaka and Naha Airport in Okinawa Prefecture.
The carrier expanded its services following the launch July 3 of routes connecting Narita with New Chitose Airport near Sapporo and Fukuoka.
Jetstar is the second discount airline to offer domestic services in Japan, following Osaka Prefecture-based Peach Aviation Ltd., partly by All Nippon Airways Co.
Jetstar will start services connecting Kansai with New Chitose and Fukuoka on Aug. 24.
