The supply of new condominiums in Tokyo and three neighboring prefectures in February increased 13.0 percent from a year earlier to 3,918 units for the fourth straight month of gain, a research agency said Thursday.
Of the new supply, 75.3 percent found buyers within the month, down 9.5 percentage points, the Real Estate Economic Institute said. The average unit price fell 5.1 percent to ¥44.75 million.
In Osaka and five nearby prefectures, the supply declined 7.1 percent to 1,394 units, of which 68.1 percent found buyers, down 3.2 points.
