Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. said Tuesday its environmental plant and equipment arm has established a marketing firm in Beijing to meet growing demand for waste incineration facilities in China.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Environmental & Chemical Engineering Co. has invested ¥50 million as capital in MHIEC Environment (Beijing) Co., which was scheduled to start operations Wednesday.
China plans to expand incineration capacity for solid waste by adding about 200 incinerators over five years, with demand for municipal solid waste incineration facilities spreading to Beijing from southern China, said the wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy.
