Mitsubishi Motors Corp. said Thursday it will recall 299,320 vehicles from seven minicar models, including the Minica, Otti and Clipper models supplied to Nissan Motor Co., due to potential engine oil leaks.
In a report filed with the Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Ministry, MMC said the recall will cover vehicles made between July 2001 and April 2006. Oil could leak from crankshaft oil seals, leading to the overheating of engine components.
Mitsubishi Motors filed a separate recall report for 247,000 vehicles in November 2010 for the same problem.
Isuzu Motors Ltd. also said Thursday it will recall 97,564 units of the Elf and three other trucks due to faulty horns.
