Hackers shift to Nintendo

Kyodo

Nintendo Co. said Sunday that the website of its U.S. subsidiary was hacked several weeks ago and some of the information on its server was put on the Internet, the company said.

The announcement followed an invasion of Sony Corp.’s gaming systems, in which hackers may have accessed millions of accounts.

Nintendo said that because no personal information was saved on the subsidiary’s server, it did not announce the hacking until Sunday.
