ATLANTA (Kyodo) Honda Motor Co. showed off the interior of its new HondaJet, a seven-seat plane the automaker plans to start producing in 2010, at a business aircraft show Tuesday.

Company officials said expertise gained as a carmaker allowed Honda to pay special attention to interior detail "to provide maximum riding comfort and safety."

They boasted that they've limited noise better than rival companies with similar aircraft, and secured more fuselage space by opting for an over-the-wing engine setup. Due to the wider interior, the small aircraft includes a restroom, they said.

The plane uses light-emitting diodes to reduce electricity consumption.
