Help sought for Iran quake victims

The Japan Emergency Team is seeking volunteers and contributions to launch relief efforts for victims of the earthquake Feb. 28 in northwestern Iran.

Emergency supplies, including canned and instant food, powdered milk, home medical kits, bottled water, blankets and sleeping bags, are requested. Those with particular abilities in disaster response and medical emergencies, Arabic-speakers and anyone who can provide some assistance is urged to contact the team.

Storage space for emergency supplies in the Tokyo and Narita area is also needed. To participate, please contact the organization via e-mail at jhl@japan.co.jp.
