It may not be Spring just yet, but French chef Joel Robuchon’s Le Pain de Joel Robuchon in the basement of Shibuya’s Hikarie shopping complex is celebrating all the same.
It is offering a series of sweets using “spring ingredients,” highlighted by a limited-edition strawberry brioche (¥330). Featuring a slightly tart strawberry frosting and a creamy custard filling all surrounded by fluffy bread. It strikes a good balance between fruity and sugary. A great way to shake off the doldrums of winter.
