Beard Papa's, a local chain serving cream puffs, always has a few special varieties of its treats available. But the current limited-run cookies-and-cream flavor (¥230) is worth going out of your way for if you've got a sweet tooth.
The new flavor mixes a vanilla cream with slightly bitter chocolate cookie bits, which are encased in a chocolate pastry dusted in sugar. Beard Papa's seems to be aiming to replicate the taste of an Oreo, and though they don't quite pull off the imitation, this limited-edition cream puff still has just the right amount of rich chocolate and is pleasantly sweet.
