Relaxing Golden Week buffet

From May 3 to 6, the Celestine Hotel Tokyo in the Shiba area of Tokyo’s Minato Ward will offer a holiday buffet, making for an enjoyable spot to relax over the holidays at it’s Grand Cross restaurant on the 1st floor.

During the Golden Week holidays, many think of getting out of town, but at the same time are weary of the inevitable crowds. Even though conveniently located just 15 minutes from the landmark Tokyo Tower, the Celestine Hotel Tokyo offers a calm and soothing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The buffet boasts a variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, including pasta, a sashimi-topped rice bowl and grilled Japanese chicken that are sure to satisfy any diner.

The buffet is available for both lunch and dinner for ¥3,000 and ¥4,000 respectively and prices include tax and service charge.

Shopping at the Imperial Hotel Plaza

To welcome the country’s first long holiday of the fiscal year, the Imperial Hotel Tokyo’s commercial arm, The Imperial Hotel Plaza is holding a Golden Week fair through May 6.

During the period, the plaza, located on the 1st through the 4th floors of the Imperial Hotel Tower, will be home to many events. Among them will be a wine-tasting booth, which will allow customers to sample eight varieties of selected wines from all over the world, including Burgundy and Napa Valley vintages, while they enjoy their shopping.

Shoppers who purchase more than ¥20,000 can receive gift vouchers, which can be redeemed for a variety of items, including coupons for the hotel’s restaurants.

Additionally, through September 16, an exhibition of photographs by French photographer Robert Doisneau is taking place throughout the four floors.

Spa and accommodation package

In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Swiss-Japanese diplomatic relations, the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is offering an accommodation plan featuring a spa treatment, through June 27.

The accommodation plan offers customers an overnight stay in one of the hotel’s Swiss Advantage double occupancy room.

The spa package includes a 60-minute body and facial treatment at the hotel’s spa, Purovel Spa & Sports, with exquisite skin care products from Swiss Perfection. Also, during the day, customers can use the hotel’s fitness facilities for free.

The rooms accommodate two customers each and prices start at ¥15,150 per person including tax and service charge. Rooms at the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka have free Wi-Fi.

Reservations should be made at least three days before, which allows customers to stay on the plan through June 30.
