The ekki Bar & Grill at the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi will offer a Thanksgiving course from Nov. 28 to 30, for customers who want to celebrate the U.S. holiday with family and friends.
The restaurant will showcase a traditional yet original style of Thanksgiving menu, including roast turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, and house smoked salmon and grapefruit with avocado dip.
For dessert, there will be vanilla crème brûleé with caramelized apple, and vanilla ice cream.
The turkeys this year come from a farm in Ishikawa Prefecture, which, according to the hotel’s chef, is the only one in Japan that raises turkeys.
The course will be offered at lunch and dinner (brunch and dinner on Saturday). It is available at ¥6,000 per person, including tax but subject to a service charge.

Christmas accommodation plan
The Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo, has put together a Heartful Christmas accommodation plan.
The plan includes many extras such as the hotel’s original Christmas teddy bear, special mini-desserts served with a bottle of Moët & Chandon’s Rose Imperial Champagne, breakfast and some great views of Tokyo.
The fluffy teddy bear is embroidered with the “S” of the hotel’s logo and “2013.” Also, a personal message can be embroidered on the bear. Message orders have to be made two weeks before the day the stay begins.
The desserts are prepared by the hotel’s executive pastry chef Naoya Okamura to complement the champagne.
The plan is available between Dec. 6 and 25, from ¥57,000 per room, exclusive of tax and service.

Winter lunch and dinner buffets
Restaurant Aroma’s, on the ground floor of the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, will offer wintertime lunch and dinner buffets from Dec. 2 to Feb. 28, 2014.
Both buffets feature roast beef and an original stew seasoned with three types of cheese, as well as desserts supervised by the hotel’s pastry chef.
The lunch buffet, served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (last order), is ¥2,100 per adult and ¥1,100 per child (ages 6-12) on weekdays, and ¥2,300 per adult and ¥1,200 per child on weekends and holidays.
The dinner buffet, served from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (last order), is ¥3,500 per adult and ¥1,800 per child (ages 6-12).
A 90-minute all-you-can-drink option for diners is also available for an additional ¥1,000 and ¥1,500, respectively.
Prices include tax and a service charge.
