SAS fare sale extended
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced that due to the popularity of its special sale, the airline will extend the term of the campaign to Sept. 9. The special sale allows travelers from Tokyo to fly to over 40 European cities with prices starting from ¥100,010, which includes all taxes and surcharges.
In Europe during the fall and winter, a large number of festivals and events await, so travelers can take advantage of the campaign fares to attend.
Sample prices for tickets offered include London for ¥129,710, Oslo for ¥109,580, Munich for ¥121,270 and Paris for ¥116,820.
The travel must originate from Oct. 16 through March 31, 2014. Taxes and surcharges were calculated as of Aug. 8 and fares may vary due to currency fluctuations. The fares are subject to availability and some terms and conditions apply.

New Cathay cuisines
Cathay Pacific and renowned hotel The Langham Hong Kong have joined to launch an exciting new in-flight menu promotion. The new menu features dishes inspired by T’ang Court, the Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant at The Langham.
The special promotional menu is being served to passengers in First Class, Business Class and Premium Economy Class onboard select Cathay Pacific flights departing from Hong Kong.
A total of 16 dishes arranged by Chef Kwong Wai-keung, executive Chinese chef at The Langham, have been introduced on Cathay Pacific menus from August, lasting until the end of October, on the majority of flights departing from Hong Kong. The specially created dishes will provide a unique in-flight dining experience for Cathay Pacific passengers, with authentic Cantonese cuisine.
Signature dishes from the promotional menu include Australian abalone with jelly fish and wok-fried prawns with black truffle paste.

Garuda Mount Fuji raffle
Indonesian airline PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA) has a partnership with PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk, which runs the Lawson convenience store retail chain in Indonesia, and the government of Yamanashi Prefecture to promote tourism to Mount Fuji, under the theme of “Buy at Lawson, fly with Garuda Indonesia to Mount Fuji.” The program is a sweepstakes available at all Lawson outlets in Indonesia.
Yoshifumi Fujimaki, a representative from Yamanashi Prefecture, sees Indonesia as a potential market for inbound tourism because the level of economic growth there is quite good and stable. And he says he is really happy to have such a great chance to promote not only Mount Fuji, but also some other features of his prefecture to the Indonesian people through this collaboration with the above-mentioned companies.
The campaign takes place through the month of September, and during this period, all Lawson customers in Indonesia can have the chance to win a raffle for a trip to see Mount Fuji.
