Thanksgiving dinner at Chinzan-so
The Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Chinzan-so in Tokyo will offer a special Thanksgiving dinner at its casual restaurant Seasons Bistro, from Nov. 16 to 22.
The restaurant will offer a variety of dishes that are traditionally offered on the Thanksgiving holiday, but with a bistro twist. For instance, the main dish will be a roasted turkey ballotine (boned and stuffed thigh) served with homemade cranberry sauce, while homemade pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream will be offered for dessert.
In addition to the course menu, an a la carte menu suitable for children will be available, so that customers can enjoy the traditional holiday dinner with family.
The dinner is available from 5 to 10 p.m. at ¥4,950 per person, including tax and a service charge. Unfortunately reservations are not available.

New York chef takes the reins
The Park Hyatt Tokyo in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will invite chef Michael Anthony from Gramercy Tavern in New York to man the hotel’s 52nd-floor New York Grill restaurant from Nov. 14 to 17, to offer a special dinner.
Anthony is the executive chef at Gramercy Tavern, and in 2012 he won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: New York City. He embarked on his culinary career in Tokyo under the guidance of Shizuyo Shima at Bistro Shima in Roppongi, where he fell in love with the simple, seasonal Japanese approach to food.
The New York Times three-starred Gramercy Tavern has become New York’s iconic American nouveau restaurant, honoring the rich tradition of American cooking and bringing guests together in a convivial spirit of community to enjoy exceptional, seasonal and farm-fresh cuisine. New York Grill’s dynamic energy together with Gramercy Tavern’s signature dishes will bring a sampling of the best of New York.
The five-course dinner will be available from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at ¥18,000 including tax, subject to a 10 percent service charge.

Armani celebrates anniversary
This month, Armani Ginza Tower, an iconic building in Tokyo’s luxury shopping district Ginza, marks its fifth anniversary. To celebrate, it is offering a special dinner at its restaurant on the 10th floor, Armani / Ristorante, through Nov. 30.
The dinner, named Anniversario, is prepared by the restaurant’s exclusive chef Enrico Derflingher. Using some of the best and most coveted ingredients from all over Italy, north to south, he will create authentic cuisine here in Japan.
The restaurant’s recommended dish is milk-fed veal cutlet with Piedmontese hazelnuts, which is crispy and succulent.
The dinner course is available at ¥24,000 for a pair, including a glass of Franciacorta sparkling wine as an aperitif. The price includes tax and is subject to a service charge.
