Hyogo Prefecture produce buffet fair

The Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel and Towers is promoting the abundant fresh produce from its prefecture by holding a fair celebrating Hyogo Prefecture, through June 30.

Hyogo is located between the Sea of Japan and the Seto Inland Sea. Due to the range of the topographies and climates, many foods are harvested from both the land and the sea. In addition, Hyogo was home to five ancient provinces, meaning the cuisine is different in each area.

During the fair at the hotel’s Garden Cafe restaurant, ingredients from each of the five ancient provinces will be used in a range of dishes, served buffet-style, such as Akashi sea bream, Kobe pork, Awaji onions and Banshu somen.

The lunch buffet is available from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at ¥2,800 per person. The dinner buffet is available from 5:30-9:30?p.m. at ¥3,500 per person. The prices include soft drinks, tax and a service charge.

The Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel and Towers is a 1-minute walk from Island Center Station on the Rokko Liner. For more information and reservations, call (078) 857-7040 or visit www.sheraton-kobe.co.jp.
