The Hotel Hatsuhana, an Odakyu hotel in Hakone Okuyumoto, Kanagawa Prefecture, is offering a special fall accommodation plan with an authentic Japanese kaiseki course through Oct. 31.
The matsutake kaiseki plan features the prized Japanese mushrooms, which are a symbol of the autumn season. The hotel’s special course dinner will use plenty of matsutake mushrooms cooked in a variety of ways, such as in dobinmushi (steam-boiled in an earthenware teapot) and cooked with rice. The meal will be served in the Japanese-cuisine restaurant Tsutsuji no Chaya.
Besides the dinner course, the plan also includes breakfast and is available from ¥29,150 per person for quadruple occupancy.

Every 25th person gets a free buffet
The Hilton Osaka is holding the Dynamic Buffet Fair in celebration of the 25th anniversary of its opening.
Free tickets to buffets at the hotel will be awarded to every 25th customer every day through Sept. 30 at three of the hotel’s restaurants: Checkers, Dynasty and Windows on the World.
Checkers is offering a lunch and dinner buffet with a wide selection of international dishes cooked in its open kitchen. The lunch buffet is available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (until 3 p.m. on weekends and holidays) and the dinner buffet is available from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (until 10 p.m. on Saturdays). The lunch buffet starts from ¥3,400, while dinner starts from ¥3,900.
Dynasty is offering a lunch buffet of Chinese specialties, available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from ¥3,850.
A lunch buffet is also being offered at Windows on the World from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from ¥3,700. The restaurant is located on the 35th and highest floor of the hotel, boasting stunning views of Osaka.
Also, at the first-floor lobby lounge The In Place, every 25th customer who buys banana bread will get another one for free.

Specials for groups of three or more
The InterContinental Yokohama Grand is commemorating its 20th anniversary by offering special-value dining at its French and Italian restaurants through Dec. 16.
These Thank You Plates feature seasonal delicacies. The French restaurant Azur’s selection starts with a variety of canapes with pate de foie gras and scallop tartare, followed by a meat platter of beef, lamb and duck in various European styles and finished with dessert. This course is available for ¥13,900 for a group of three, and ¥5,000 for each additional person.
The Italian restaurant La Vela’s special course consists of appetizers, including Parma prosciutto with fruit; rigatoni boscaiola in a bowl made of cheese; assorted grilled meats; and an assortment of gelato. It is available at ¥11,700 for a group of three, ¥3,900 for each additional person.
The prices include tax and the service charge. The special menu is served on weekdays, except national holidays, between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and between 7 and 9:30 p.m. for dinner.
