Advice from schools

ARC ACADEMY Japanese Language School

ARC ACADEMY Japanese Language School

What is the best way to acquire a language? Having opportunities to speak it? Reading grammar books? Building up vocabulary? They all must be important. Making it more detailed, how do you learn vocabulary? By writing? By reading aloud? There are different ways, but the most important thing is whether the method suits you. There is no method that suits everyone. If there is one, it is to have a good adviser; someone who chooses the right textbooks, process and method for your needs. ARC Academy will search for the best way for you as your study adviser.

I recommend that you write down three new words every day in a small notepad and memorize them. Do this for one week and you will know 21 words. Do this for one month and you will know 90 words. You will be surprised that in one year then you will know 1,080 words. Why not start doing this today?

The followings are some of the tips we JLI teachers are recommending for Japanese learners.
1)Choose Japanese aural materials of your level and interest, practice them by repeating, shadowing and overlapping.
2)Memorize HIRAGANA and KATAKANA by seeing, writing and pronouncing.
3)Break Kanji into radicals and memorizing them from their roots. ("KANJI, LOOK AND LEARN" by the Japan Times is recommended.)
4)Just memorize various expressions useful in daily life and business situations.
And lastly and most importantly, express yourself as much as possible without fear of making mistakes.

Learning Japanese is much easier than you think. Try our "Ezoe teaching method" and you can understand the structure of the Japanese language in no time! This original method has been developed based on our 37 years of experience as an educational institution. By using differently shaped and colored cards that represent different parts of speech and grammatical functions, students will be able to speak with confidence, construct complex sentences and understand both formal and informal conversations. So why not come join our class — a whole new learning experience is waiting for you.

There are many things we would like people who come to Japan to experience in Tokyo. Find out what makes Tokyo a great place, from services at convenience stores and restaurants to low-cost "gourmet" foods, from soaking in "super" hot spring baths in the city to comparing the beauty of old and new architecture. By studying Japanese, you can have more fun by knowing more deeply about Tokyo. TCJ accepts new students throughout the year.
